Yes of course! There are so many benefits to learning singing. From building confidence to impressing your friends and family at events or even Karaoke sessions, having a good trained singing voice will be something special to you. As the human voice is a part of ourselves, being confident of using it makes a huge difference to an individual in all aspects of their lives, as we communicate and use it everyday.

Yes! Students of all ages and levels of abilities are welcome to apply. We have taught students from 5 to 68 years old with diverse learning needs. (Please note that we are currently only enrolling students 7 years old and above for singing lessons.) We believe each individual’s voice is unique and we personalise our lessons to help you achieve your goals. Feel free to contact us to discuss this.

• Take a 45min/1 hour consultation lesson with your assigned teacher.
• Book your fixed lesson timing with your teacher.
• Have your in-person lesson at the VOCA studio/Call in for your online lesson.
• We recommend that you record your lessons for review.

Learning a skill takes time and we recommend consistency in lessons and practise over a period of time for an optimal outcome. We recommend you to sign up for our Term package to see noticeable progress. You will have access to our exclusive student privileges (workshops/masterclasses), as well as multiple performance opportunities. Your commitment time frame is ultimately dependent on your goals – whether taking examinations with Trinity College of Music which we will prepare you for, getting ready for a performance or DSA/college auditions and competitions, or even just learning voice as a hobby. Our students often study with us for more than a year to receive consistent feedback and guidance.

• For first-time sign ups for our programmes, please make a payment for the Term/Flexi Package (if applicable). We will collect a registration fee of SGD 50 upon enrolment for all programmes. 
• We will provide a folder and VOCA T-shirt/Tote Bag (while stocks last) upon enrolment for private/group lessons.
• Enrolment begins at the start of each month or as agreed by the teacher.
• An invoice will be issued on the 21st of the preceding month and are due within 7 days from the date of issuance. Late payments will incur a SGD 50 surcharge.
• One month’s advance written notice is required for student withdrawal.
  
• Concerts for students will take place twice – May and December, and group sessions (workshops/studio performance classes/masterclasses) will run throughout the year.

There are typically 3 parts to a lesson. In the first lesson, we start off by finding out more about you – your goals, vocal issues and preferred genre/songs. Then we cover the basics of vocal technique including breathing, warm ups and registration. After this, we will work through a song. Subsequent lessons follow the same format without the discussion. At VOCA, we like to give students some autonomy on song choices (as well as recommending what is suitable at their level).

Please bring along a water bottle to classes. A folder will be provided upon enrolment, unless you have an iPad/tablet to write notes for each lesson. The expectation is that you take notes in class so that you are able to remember better, and know what to practise at home.

Yes of course! If you’re thinking of a unique and special gift for your family and friends, we are now offering Gift Vouchers across all our programmes. You may choose if you want to purchase a trial or package for our Bouncing Bubs/Tiny Tots music classes for babies and toddlers or our singing lessons. Please fill in the form HERE.

• All classes and programmes may be recorded for archival and/or publicity purposes for our social media. Please inform us prior to the classes if you do not give your consent.
• We enroll students on a rolling basis.
• For Full and Half Term, you are allowed 2 make-up classes for last minute cancellations (for e.g. due to emergency).
• If you fail to inform us prior to the class, we will unfortunately have to forfeit it.
• You may reschedule your classes on the studio portal 2 days (48 hours) in advance.
• For Full Term package (12 classes), classes need to be completed within 14 weeks of the first class.
• For Half Term package (6 classes), classes need to be completed within 8 weeks of the first class.
• If there are less than 3 babies in a class, we will inform parents in advance and the class may be postponed.
• We will collect a registration fee of SGD 50 upon enrolment for all programmes. If you renew your term, you need not pay the registration fee again.
• There will be strictly NO REFUNDS once payment is made.
• By filling in any of the contact/sign-up forms, you agree to receive email marketing from VOCA PTE. LTD. You may unsubscribe at any time if you do not wish to receive marketing emails.
• Release of Liability – Parents, legal guardians of minor students, and adult students fully waive and relinquish any and all claims against VOCA PTE. LTD. and its owners and instructors from injuries or damages as a result of participating in any lessons or programmes in any way associated with VOCA PTE. LTD.
• By signing up for any lesson(s) or programme(s), you agree to all the terms stated in these company policies.
